Goshen, NY is the county seat of Orange County. It has many businesses which support the legal and political activities of this government center. Goshen is a fast growing area with a population approaching 13 thousand.

Middletown, NY, with a population of about 45,000 people, is located at the crossroads of I-84 and Route 17 (future I-86). There are many shopping malls here which attract shoppers from most of Orange county and much of Sullivan county. Housing in Middletown is more affordable than in the surrounding towns.

Pine Bush, NY is a small hamlet which is the population center of the Town of Crawford. The population of the town including the hamlet is nearly 11,000. Pine bush is rural, farming community located on the Northern boarded of Orange county.
